And here it comes
And here it comes, another Ramadhan, another blessed month. I welcomed it with jubilation, thanks to Allah for another year to live, for another year to spend it with my dearly loved one.
Last year circumstances was harsh.I checked www.islamicfinder.org by myself and looked for Imsak’s time. I set up the alarm while tried to stop the tears that nearly came out from my eyes, on my own, in my pitch dark room. I woke up by the sound of the alarm, not by mom’s voice. I walked alone downstair to the kitchen, prepared a freakin noodle for my first sahur. I cooked the noodle quietly, I’m scared that I will wake up anyone. The noodle’s ready and I sat in the dining room, starred at my noodle and cried. I didn’t expect my hostfamily to wake and have sahur with me, it’s not compulsory, and I didn’t want to hassle them, they are not used to do this kind of thing.
First time I had Ramadhan by myself, no families, no friends, and it’s not just Bandung, Balikpapan, or Surabaya or somewhere in Indonesia, I was in the other part of the world, while I am having sahur, they were all doing ngabuburit. I felt the exact feeling of solitude.
I can’t even stand to did half of the fasting.
I should be thankful of it.
And Ramadhan finally feels like Ramadhan, once again.
Mew comes with their new album, No More Stories, and yes I’am utterly ecsatic! I followed NME’s magazine on Twitter and they were twitting about listening to Mew’s new album in http://www.we7.com . I went straight to we7 but only found a part of every song, it’s not in a full version. Via Twitter, Syani told me to check on their MySpace, while Tice told me to download it in Limewire. But holy hell, I’m aggravated by my internet connection, it’s effin slow! I heard some of the song and I absolutely can’t wait to buy the new album! Oh Jonas, Silas, and Bo, you guys are inexplicably astounding!
I’m currently downloading Introducing Palace Players. Limewire is love <3.
No More Stories / Are Told Today / I’m Sorry / They Washed Away // No More Stories / The World Is Grey / I’m Tired / Let’s Wash Away
I found a marvelous site for a hardcore bookworm like me.It’s called www.goodreads.com.I was looking for Murakami’s quotes, and I ended up in this uber cool site, it’s like a very splendid online library.
I still haven’t finish Kafka on the Shore. The book gives me goosebumps and a strange feeling of lonesomeness.
And hmmm after finish with Kafka on the Shore, I probably gonna read The Outsiders or Chuck Palahaniuk’s books.Oh, I’m looking for Lolita in English version, and if anyone knows anyone who have Aldous Huxley or Kurt Vonnegut’s books. Please let me know, thank you.
‘So many books.So little time’
Just discovered La Roux (Thanks to Erika Ujang). A British electropop duo consists of Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid. I freakin love Elly Jackson’s style, she resembles David Bowie so much.I think Elly will look somewhat hotter as a guy, exactly my type (red haired, pale, skinny, uw uw uw).But well she’s a girl.Anyway, she doesn’t have a perfect voice but that imperfect voice makes a great combination with the music.
Check out their songs : In for the Kill, Bulletproof, and, I’m not your Toy.
Sweeet groove.Love it.You’ll love it too.
Argh.I want their album, right now.
Liam Gallagher’s quotes about La Roux : No way, mate. She’s got man hands.
